Promotions made at Post Signal

CROWLEY - Several key Crowley Post-Signal editorial personnel have received promotions according to General Manager Harold Gonzales, Jr.

Shantelle Breaux has been named news editor of the Post-Signal. Breaux received a BA in fine arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has been employed with The Crowley Post-Signal for the past two years. “Shantelle stepped up and has taken control of paginating a majority of the pages and also the special sections. She is a quick learner and has become very familiar with the working of a newspaper,” Gonzales said.

Howell Dennis is now city editor at the Post-Signal. Dennis came to the Post-Signal one-year ago and is the author of a weekly column in addition to covering a variety of news stories throughout the area. On the graduate from UT-Arlington Gonzales said, “Howie is truly an asset to this newspaper. There is not an assignment that is too big or too small for him to tackle. He has made many friends in Crowley over the past year and has the uncanny ability to write about many of his life experiences in his column.”

Lifestyles Editor Pam Venissat has only been on the job for the past seven months, but has taken over Lifestyles for the past few months. “Pam is tremendously organized and well-versed with the daily obligations of lifestyles. She keeps her section updated and timely while also helping with other chores in the newsroom,” Gonzales stated.

The promotions were made effective April 15, 2008.
