Reed charged with burglary

A Ville Platte man is facing burglary charges and criminal damage to property.

Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Captain Keith Dupre, chief of detectives, said Jarod Bryce Reed, 27, 2965 Kenneth St., Ville Platte, was caught breaking into a vehicle on Monday, May 12, by a person who happened to look outside during the early morning hours.

The sheriff’s office responded to the call and deputies took Reed, who was allegedly attempting to steal the car stereo, into their custody.
