SHE Girls win OLI Tournament

The Sacred Heart Lady Trojans (7th-8th Grade Team) competed in the O.L.I. tournament in Jennings March 13th - 15th, 2008. In pool play the Lady Trojans fell short in their 2 pool games Thursday night. The first game was against Mamou with a score of 2-0, in favor of Mamou. The second game of the double header night was against OMP from Church Point, which ended with a score of 4-2 in favor of OMP. Bracket play began on Saturday.

The Lady Trojans managed to come back and go undefeated to take the first place title. The first game in bracket play was against the host of the tournament, O.L.I. The Lady trojans pulled off a 15-1 win. This advanced the Lady Trojans to another match with the Mamou Tigers. This time the Lady Trojans were ready and came away with the 7-6 victory. The win against Mamou advanced the Lady Trojans into the finals against Rayne Catholic. This proved to be a tough contest but the Lady Trojans came away victorious with a 2-1 victory, enough to take the championship.
