SHHS girl’s track team preparing for parish and district meets

The Sacred Heart girl’s track team competed in the Erath Lady Bobcats Relays recently. They placed eighth overall out of 16 teams. The event is helping to prepare the young ladies for the upcoming Evangeline Parish Track Meet and the District 6-2A Track Meet.

The SHHS girls picked up a lot of points from their 4-x-200-meter relay team. The team of Lyndsay Schexnayder, Samantha Davenport, Hannah Enicke and Lauren Parrott took the top spot in their event. The 4-x-400-meter relay team of Allison Fuselier, Davenport, Schexnayder and Parrott placed second in their event. Parrott was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash and Davenport was the runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles. Enicke came out third in the 100-meter hurdles. Hannah Enicke participated in the 300-meter hurdles and placed fourth overall.

Look for more action from the SHHS track teams in the future.
