SMILE planning a zydeco festival in Parc Hardy

Breaux Bridge — SMILE, the multi-parish community action agency, is planning a family-oriented zydeco festival in Parc Hardy on Sunday,

Aug. 31.

The City Council, meeting March 11, put off OKing the event until both parties have had a chance to study the proposal.

SMILE, which aids the elderly and indigent with basic necessities, is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The issue will be on the April 8 city council agenda.
