Red Hots end season in sectional tourney

Ville Platte Girl’s Softball Association’s seven-year old all-star team, the Red Hots, completed their season this past weekend after participating in the PONY sectional tournament held in Ville Platte.
The Red Hots participated in the eight and under age group all season long and played with enthusiasm and pride, said head coach Todd Ardoin.
“The girls showed great improvement from start to finish and the future looks promising,” said Ardoin. “I would like to thank all of my coaches, Tommy Fontenot, Melony Delahoussaye, Robby Perron and my team mom Stepahnie Perrodin. I would also like to thank the parents for a wonderful summer season”
The Red Hots finished the sectional tournament 0-4, and the season 2-11, but were very competitive against teams that had a year advantage.
