The LSU-A softball program announced the signing of high school senior player Gabbie Andrepont. Andrepont attends Sacred Heart High School and will graduate in May.
She is a three-sport athlete at Sacred Heart participating in softball, basketball, and track and plays travel-softball with the 007’s club team under the direction of Robbie Tate and Jim Greely.
She is a three-time all-district softball player winning all-state honors as a catcher during her junior season. Andrepont is also an all-district performer on the basketball court and a state track and field meet participant.
“Gabbie is a terrific athlete and could excel at any sport. But she loves softball and that is the sport she has chosen for college. We are very happy for her to choose LSU-A as her college choice for school and softball. LSU-A will be the beneficiary to have Gabbie for the next four years. She will be an outstanding student-athlete for the lady generals. We welcome Gabbie to the LSU-A family,” said Head Softball Coach Jerry Breaux.
Andrepont was recruited after being seen by Breaux at a showcase camp. She immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of the school and its hometown appeal.“LSU-A is small but has a cozy feel to the campus,” said Andrepont. “Went I went for my visit it was the first time I had been to the school. I really fell in love with it. I got to play in an inter-squad scrimmage with the team and they made me feel at home. It seemed like a big, happy family.”
Andrepont is leaning toward a major in radiology. She is the daughter of Tyron and Samantha Andrepont.
