Stolen items recovered

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon said that 47-year-old Jonathan Leger of North 3rd Street, Eunice has been charged with theft of goods over $500. following an investigation by investigators with the Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sheriff Melancon his office received a complaint on February 29th that a burglary occurred at a residence on West 2nd Street in Crowley. Following an investigation conducted by Detectives Jeff Stewart and Chad Gibson items were recovered.

Leger was placed in the Acadia Parish Jail with bond set at $20,000. Items recovered were valued at over $2,200.
