Stop the Violence rally to be held this Saturday

A Stop the Violence rally will be held for the family of Kathy Ann Weston, who was recently accidently shot during a shooting in Ville Platte.
The rally will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at the Hargrove Park.
Those in attendance will march from Hargrove Park to North Chataignier Street, then to Jackson Street before ending at the Gloria Frank Park.
Those who participate are allowed to use cars, golf carts and ATV’s for the march. However, alcohol beverages are not allowed.
In a release from event organizer Arthur J. Sampson, Jr., it states, “There is too much violence in our community and it’s time that we take a stand and say enough is enough.”
All citizens are encouraged to come out and participate in this march to stop the violence occurring in the city of Ville Platte.
