Mr. Doucet, Miss Bias united in holy matrimony

Our Lady of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday, August 23, 2014, uniting Miss Gabrielle Ravon Latrese Bias and Mr. Jasper Jerome Doucet in holy matrimony, with Father Mitchell Guidry officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Loretta Bias of Ville Platte. The groom is the son of Shelton and Delores Doucet of Ville Platte.
The church was beautifully decorated with mauve and ivory-colored hydrangeas accented with gold embellishments. The pews were decorated with ivory-colored bows. Two columns at the altar were filled with mauve-colored hydrangeas.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her white fit and flare gown accented with silver embellishments and beading. She wore silver jewelry and a white beaded veil to complete her attire.
The bride carried a bouquet of mauve-colored hydrandreas accented with pearl embellishments.
Kaye Guillory of Jennings served as matron of honor for the special occasion, and Santora Thomas of Ville Platte served as maid of honor. They each wore a rosewood-colored, floor-length, one-shoulder gown accented with gold and pearl accessories and gold shoes.
Bridesmaids were Taima Fontenot of Ville Platte, Lacey Chambers of Lake Charles, Krystal Johnson of Alexandria, Keyosha Jones of Washington and Breanne Bias of New Orleans. They each wore a ballet pink, one-shoulder gown accented with gold jewelry and shoes.
Haywell Williams Jr. and Shelton Doucet, both of Ville Platte, served as best men for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Giveckio Bias, Gavin Young, Joseph Bias Jr. and Jordan Doucet, all of Ville Platte; Trojan Harrison of Washington and Johnny Guillory of Jennings.
Ushers were Anjelique Duplechin and Peyton Bias.
Flower girls were Ja’Kerriona Guillory and Quantasia Doucet.
Ring bearer was Jayden Harrison.
Little messenger was Ja’Mirlyn Guillory.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a dusty rose-colored, floor-length gown accented with silver jewels. She wore silver jewelry and silver shoes to complete her look.
The groom’s mother selected a champagne-colored skirt set accented with gold accessories.
A reception followed at the Northside Civic Center. The guest tables were decorated with ivory-colored tablecloths, pink table runners, candlelight table settings in rose, gold, champagne and ivory, mauve flower arrangements and floating candles.
Following a wedding cruise to Cozumel, Honduras and Belize, the couple has made their home in Lake Charles.
