Mr. Frederick, Miss Meche set August wedding date

The engagement of Miss Abby Louise Meche to Mr. Jeffery J. Frederick, the son of William and Regina Frederick of Hammond, has been announced by her parents, Perry and Bonnie Meche of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, August 16, 2014, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at St. Mary’s Assumption Church in New Orleans.
Miss Meche, whose mother is the former Bonnie Ortego of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of the late Douglas and Ada Ortego, Eloise Meche Lafleur and the late Chester Meche.
A graduate of Sacred Heart High School and the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, she is currently employed as an RN at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Mr. Frederick’s mother is the former Regina Fernon of Hammond. He is the grandson of JoAnn Fernon, the late Geoffrey Fernon, the late Lucien Frederick and Loyce Frederick.
A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, he received a degree in communications from LSU in Baton Rouge. He is currently employed with Real Living - Bobby Drude and Associates Real Estate.
