Mr. Godeaux, Miss Cloud announce July ceremony

The engagement of Miss Courtney Annette Cloud to Mr. Tyla Wayne Godeaux, the son of Ray Allen and Kay Godeaux of Point Blue, has been announced by her parents, Mike and Kim Cloud of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, July 24, 2015, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier.
Miss Cloud, whose mother is the former Kim Poret of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Dan and Debbie Poret of Ville Platte, the late Annette Veillon Poret and Walter and Elaine Cloud of Elizabeth.
A 2014 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte, she attended LSU-Eunice and will begin pursuing a degree in radiological sciences at McNeese State University in Lake Charles in the fall.
Mr. Godeaux’s mother is the former Kay Fontenot of Point Blue. He is the grandson of Rose Godeaux, the late Antoine Godeaux and the late Willard and Angeline Fontenot.
A 2011 graduate of Ville Platte High School, he is currently employed as a shift supervisor with the Ville Platte Police Department. He is also a member of the Louisiana National Guard.
