Mr. McDaniel, Miss Guillory plan June nuptials

The engagement of Miss Katherine Jane Guillory to Mr. Chandos Clay McDaniel, the son of Steve and Penny McDaniel of Ville Platte, has been announced by her parents, Paula and Artie Courville of Mamou and Quinn and Christie Guillory of Frisco, Texas.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, June 28, 2014, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington.
Miss Guillory, whose mother is the former Paula Hazelton of Upper Pine Prairie, is the granddaughter of Nolan Hazelton of Upper Pine Prairie, the late Myrl Hazelton and J.R. and Janice Guillory of Pine Prairie.
A 2009 graduate of Mamou High School, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2014. She has accepted a teaching position at Mamou Elementary School.
Mr. McDaniel’s mother is the former Penny Fontenot of Mamou. He is the grandson of Harry and Mary Lynn McDaniel of Ville Platte, Mary Nell Fontenot of Mamou and the late John Fontenot.
A 2006 graduate of Ville Platte High School, he graduated from Louisiana Technical College CB Coreil Campus and is currently employed with Cameron Industries.
