Ville Platte Police Dept. arrests Opelousas woman for harrassment

On December 7, 2016 the Ville Platte Police Department began an investigation on a report of repeated harassment.
After investigating the complaint a warrant of arrest was issued for Khouri Nicole Frisch, 24, of 978 Mulberry Lane, Lot B, Opelousas, La.

MPD makes arrests for domestic abuse, carnal knowledge

The Mamou Police Department has been hard at work in an effort to rid their town of criminals.
Recently the MPD made three separate arrests for domestic abuse, drugs and carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Fontenot named Farmer of Year

Richard Fontenot, a rice farmer in Evangeline Parish has been recognized as the 2016 Rice Farmer of the Year by the USA Rice Federation and Rice Farming Magazine at the USA Rice Outlook Conference in Memphis, Tenn.

15 parish students awarded degrees from LSUE at Fall Commencement
