Lyme disease is on the rise, with 20,000 cases reported yearly. Experts believe there are a lot more cases that go undiagnosed, misdiagnosed and left untreated. Lyme disease can be hard to diagnose. In those people who are infected, many do not get the “bulls eye” rash, and the common tests used are only about 50 percent accurate.

Julia Ellen Luciano and William Anthony de la Houssaye, II were united in holy matrimony during a nuptial mass at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in Lafayette. The Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen officiated the ceremony.

Ashley Manor in Baton Rouge served as the setting for a double ring ceremony uniting Aneika Dominick and Dedric Freeman, both of Baton Rouge. Reverend Norman Scott of Baton Rouge officiated the ceremony.

Paige Kristin Galla and Gregory Orion Loomis Deaner of Fort Collins, Colorado became husband and wife during an outdoors, afternoon wedding. The double ring ceremony was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2008 at the Lincoln Center Terrace in Fort Collins, Colorado.
