The Evangeline Parish Police Jury, during its meeting Monday, July 7, approved increasing day-pass fees at Crooked Creek Recreational Park to $4 per adult (12 years of age and older).

Registrar of Voters Lucas Buller would like to take this opportunity to announce his office is participating in Voter Education Week, Monday, July 14, through July 18. This week is designed to encourage citizens to register to vote and to bring their voting records up-to-date.

The Ville Platte Super 10’s reached the finals of the District Seven Tournament with some great defense and perfectly timed hitting. They met Oberlin late Wednesday night in the finals.

The Ville Platte Majors (11-12 year-old All-Stars) are currently battling in the District Seven Tournament in Ville Platte. The young men reached the semi-finals by press time Wednesday night.

For the third straight year, the Ville Platte Farm Team All-Stars (Minors) are headed to the state tournament.
