Now that we’ve had the chance to get acquainted, I would like to share a few of my everyday experiences of my life at work.

Working for the paper for the past seven months has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of very interesting people.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis James Herpin of Mire are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Jennifer Nicole to Ian Christopher Walters of Carencro. He is the son of Leonard Wayne Walters and the late Rita Gayle Walter also of Carencro.

Elaine Theresa Domingue will become the bride of Edward Lee Istre, Jr., both of Crowley, on June 14 at 3:30 p.m.

They will exchange wedding vows at the Woodmen of the World Hall in Crowley with Justice of the Peace Elridge Pussion officiating.

Philip and Ranella Lounsberry McDaniel of Gueydan are proud to announce the engagement and fourth coming marriage of their daughter Bethany Gail to Joshua John Webb son of J.C. and Suzy Blalock Webb of Crowley.

A birthday party was held in celebration of Reece Nicholas Evans’ fourth birthday.

Reece is the son of Troy and Keisha Evans of Crowley. He is the grandson of Curley Louvierre of Crowley and Sabrina Bourque of New Iberia, and Troy and Betty Evans of Crowley.

The 1958 graduating class of St. Michael High School gathered on the evening of Saturday, May 10, to celebrated their 50th reunion.

Those who were able, attended the 4:30 p.m. mass at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Gary Schexnayder presiding.

At the May Beta Sigma Phi meeting, Connie Joubert presented a program on hot air balloons. The meeting was held in Joubert’s home.
