The Evangeline Parish Police Jury learned Crooked Creek Recreational Park operated in the black for the month of April during its meeting Monday, May 12.

Boykins selected to model for national campaign

Sanee’ LeShelle Boykins, the daughter of Sandra Reed and Ollie Reed of Mamou, is working to pursue her modeling career with Abercrombie and Fitch/Calvin Klein. She traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, for a casting show and placed in the top 50 out of about 1,000 hopefuls.

A week before high school graduations, after receiving numerous complaints of local package liquor stores selling alcohol to persons under the age of 21, the Eunice City Marshal’s Office and the Juvenile Division of the Eunice Police Department conducted a sting operation, nabbing 13 persons on illegal sales charges.
