Grants available to downtown businesses

CROWLEY – Crowley Main Street is soliciting façade grant applications from downtown building and/or business owners. The Crowley Main Street program is able to offer competitive grants for Façade Restoration.

Louisiana State Newspapers garner awards

LAFAYETTE – Newspapers representing Louisiana State Newspapers (LSN) took home 141 awards including 54 first place plaques in the Better Newspaper Competition. The awards were handed out at the awards luncheon held Saturday at the Holidome.

A reunion uniting Smith, Benoit and Sarver family members was held on April 19 at 8 a.m. Everyone gathered at the Ebenezer Church of Nazarene. Union committee members were Stephanie and Martin Schlesinger, Jerry and Jeanette Dennies and Charles and Betty Jo Sarver.
