RAYNE – One former Crowley resident is dead and another in critical condition after a domestic dispute turned deadly in Rayne Thursday afternoon.

Mayor Bob Morris has had pictures of some city officials removed from the City Council meeting room, saying he felt the portraits were hanging in the wrong place.

“I’ve never been in a chambers room in which the officials’ pictures were hanging, so I had them taken down,” he said.
