for Life is Friday

The 10th annual Eunice Relay for Life benefitting the American Cancer Society will be from 6 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Edmund Football Field.

As a starting point, Colvin notes that one of the major facts missing in much of the partisan tax debate in Washington has to do with the fact that a shrinking number of Americans are bearing an increasing burden from the income tax.

CROWLEY – Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2008 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Nelton Pierre LeBlanc, 85, who died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Fr. Gary Schexnayder, pastor, will officiate.

Cleco Fan Drive to kick off in Crowley

CROWLEY – Staying comfortable this summer can be a challenge for those people without air conditioning. For older people, the heat can even be deadly. To help them stay cool this summer, Cleco is conducting its annual fan drive for the elderly.
