Ville Platte City Court Bench Warrants

The following individuals failed to appear in the Ville Platte City Court. Bench warrants have been issued by Judge Gregory Vidrine, for these individuals, for their failure to appear in court on traffic tickets and other misdemeanor charges for the months of December, 2015.

On the evening of November 19, 2015, at approximately 8:55 p.m., an Evangeline Parish Deputy Sheriff attempted to stop a vehicle on U.S. 167 due to excessive speed in a 45 MPH.

Mamou cops resign over payroll fraud

With felony charges hanging over their heads, two Mamou police employees were allowed to resign rather than be terminated during a special meeting of the Mamou Town Council held last Thursday evening.

VPPD makes drug bust at apartment

According to a press release by the Ville Platte Police Department, on Tuesday September 15 the Investigations Division of the VPPD received an anonymous tip reporting narcotic activity in an apartment on North Chataignier Street.

The manhunt for Brandon Messer has come to an end.
Messer, who had been on the run since Thursday, August 20, turned himself in to Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office late on Monday, August 24.
