Sheriff's office reports 12 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 12 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•James Lee Navarre, 34, 3799 Opelousas Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 14, with theft. Navarre was being held in jail on a $1,000 bond at press time.
•Lee Andrus Freeman, 53, 1115 W. Live Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged January 13, with unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property and obscenity while committing battery on a juvenile. Freeman was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Mark Skinner Jr., 22, 1067 Shady Lane, Mamou, was charged January 14, with public intimidation. Skinner was released from jail on a $500 bond.
•Tracey Williams, 1067 Shady Lane, Mamou, was charged January 14, with public intimidation. Williams was released from jail on a $500 bond.
•Le Ester Marie Jackson, 26, 400 McAuthor St., Eunice, was charged January 14, with possession of Schedule I, obstruction of justice, interfering with police duties and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance. Jackson remained in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Jesus Maria Cuellar Jr., 33, 2510 Dr. Bobby Deshotel, Basile, was charged January 15, with theft over $500. Cuellar remained in jail on a $500 bond at press time.
•Kelvin Mitchell Deshotels, 52, 1431 Walnut St., Pine Prairie, was charged January 17, with no registration in vehicle, illegal parking in roadway, invalid MVI, careless operation, DWI (first offense) and no insurance. Deshotels was released from jail on a $1,676.50 bond.
•Michael Jamie Ben, 27, 1508 Jamie St., Mamou, was charged January 18, with DWI (first offense), speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone) and driving left of center. Ben was released from jail on a $1,276.50 bond.
•Anthony K. Jack, 20, 1910 Augustis St. Lake Charles, was charged January 17, with resisting an officer by force (two counts), aggravated battery on an officer (two counts) and aggravated assault on an officer. Jack remained in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Randy Jack, 40, 1519 Division Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 19, with resisting an officer (two counts), disturbing the peace and failure to leave premises. Jack was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Tiffany L. Doucet, 26, 163 John St., Iota, was charged January 17, with aggravated battery with a vehicle, aggravated criminal damage to property, reckless operation and hit and run. Doucet was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
•Carry Ann Jason, 27, 1105 Peach St., Mamou, was charged January 16, with issuing worthless checks. Jason was released from jail on a $800 bond.
