Sheriff's office reports 14 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 14 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Lee Eric Ardoin, 35, 1527 Carl St., Ville Platte, was charged September 10, with aggravated arson, simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. Ardoin remained in jail on a $53,500 bond at press time.
•Aaron Willie Williams, 47, 910 N. Stagg St., Ville Platte, was charged September 10, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, simple/criminal damage to property, resisting an officer and misinformation while being booked. Williams was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Jamison Cortez Thomas, 25, 512 South Stagg St., Ville Platte, was charged September 10, with attempted first degree murder, possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Thomas was being held in jail on a $500,000 bond at press time.
•Nicholas Edwards, 19, 316 W. Desoto St., Ville Platte, was charged September 10, with possession of a firearm and simple possession of marijuana. Edwards was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Daquonnyie D. Thomas, 18, 713 Parkview, Apt. 107, Ville Platte, was charged September 18, with attempted first degree murder, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, illegal carrying of a weapon and carrying of controlled dangerous substances. Thomas was being held in jail on a $500,000 bond at press time.
•Billy Ray Thomas, 52, 1529 Max St., Mamou, was charged September 4, with theft and simple burglary. Thomas was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Teddy Joseph Fontenot, 43, 1518 Max St., Mamou, was charged September 4, with theft and simple burglary. Fontenot was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Gena Renee Fruge, 28, 3316 Stagg Ave., Basile, was charged September 12, with disturbing the peace, public intoxication, battery on a peace officer and resisting an officer. Fruge was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Eric Ray Arabie, 26, 3316 Stagg Ave., Basile, was charged September 12, with domestic abuse battery. Fruge was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•John Dale McDaniel, 42, 1965 LaChance Road, Ville Platte, was charged September 13, with criminal damage to property and trespassing. McDaniel was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Raymond Celestine Jr., 34, 5710 Thomas St., Chataignier, was charged September 14. with reckless operation and DWI (first offense). Celestine was released from jail on a $1,376.50 bond.
•Zackery Shane Vidrine, 20, 1400 Savoy Lane, Mamou, was charged September 14, with hit and run, underage possession of an alcoholic beverage, reckless operation, no seat belt and open container. Vidrine was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Jordan F. Smith , 28, 1071 Twin Oak Road, Arnaudville. was charged September 15, with simple kidnapping, domestic abuse battery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Smith was released from jail on a $30,000 bond.
•Debbie Jo Rivers, 27, 3500 Melancon Road, Broussard, was charged September 15, with cyber stalking. Rivers was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
