Sheriff's office reports 14 recent arrests
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 14 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
• Silas Sinclair Thomas, 24, 1806 Lou Ann St., Mamou, was charged January 28, with red light required on rear, open container and driving under suspension. Thomas was released from jail on a $591.50 bond.
•Ashley Rene Edwards, 27, 514 W. Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged January 28, with interfering with a police officer.
•Ellis Edward Parrott, 18, 876 LaHaye Road, Mamou, was charged January 28, with second degree battery and simple criminal damage to property. Parrott was released from jail on a $2,000 bond.
•Dylan Paul Lee, 21, 1569 Pointe Verde Road, Washington, was charged January 30, with DWI (second offense), license plate light required and open container. Lee was released from jail on a $1,876.50 bond.
•Jeremiah Jerome Allison, 19, 2529 Soileau Road, Eunice, was charged January 28, with bribery and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Allison remained in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
• Katelin Marie Fontenot, 20, 203 Court St., Ville Platte, was charged January 28, with accessary after the fact, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Fontenot was being held in jail on a $50,000 bond at press time.
•Christopher Charles Jr., 22, 2529 Soileau Road, Eunice, was charged January 28, with burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Charles was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Shelton T. Robinson, 29, 101 Rail Road St., Mamou, was charged January 28, with burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Robinson was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Edwin Vidrine, 40, 209 Enda St., Ville Platte, was charged January 31, with failure to stop at a stop sign, no liability insurance and suspended driver’s license. Vidrine was being held in jail on a $729.50 bond at press time.
•Brittany M. Smith, 25, 371 Robertson Road, Morganza, was charged January 30, with possession of marijuana and introduction of contraband into a penal system. Smith was released from jail on a $30,000 bond.
•Pheon Goudeau, 24, 2670 Edge Broke St., Richmond, Texas, was charged February 1, with DWI (first offense) and careless operation. Goudeau was released from jail on a $1,376.50 bond.
•Derrick Paul Ford, 36, 100 Tamaran Loop, Apt. 10, Eunice, was charged February 1, with disturbing the peace and aggravated second degree battery. Ford was being held in jail on a $25.000 bond at press time.
•Matthew David Lafleur, 18, 133 Matthew St., Ville Platte, was charged January 31, with careless operation, no seat belt and DWI (first offense). Lafleur was released from jail on a $1,326.50 bond.
•Trina LaVelle Austin, 44, 712 Second St., Mamou, was charged February 2, with criminal damage to property, criminal trespassing and aggravated assault. Austin was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Michael Wayne Fontenot, 47, 2367 Chicot Drive, Ville Platte, was charged February 2, with driving left of center, reckless operation, vehicular homicide, expired MVI, no proof of insurance and possession of Schedule IV drugs. Fontenot was being held in jail on a $500,000 bond at press time.
•Amanda Kay Fontenot, 22, 3707 Yale St., Lake Charles, was charged February 2, with theft (two counts) and unauthorized use of a moveable. No bonding information was available.
