Sheriff's office reports 15 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 15 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Elroy J. Goorge, 39, 11942 Veterans Memorial Highway, Ville Platte, was charged January 6, with domestic abuse battery. Goorge was being held in jail on a $5.000 bond at press time.
•Dean Antoine Kramer, 44, 6319 Highway 167 West, Ville Platte, was charged January 8, with issuing worthless checks. Kramer was released from jail on a $3,025 bond.
•Kwan Kivinski Anderson, 30, 1930 Marshall Frank Drive, Ville Platte, was charged January 8, with obscenity, resisting an officer with violence, no driver’s license and open container. Anderson was being held in jail on a $40,000 bond at press time.
•Linda Fontenot Girouard, 36, 1020 Jeffery St., Lot 2, Ville Platte, was charged January 8, with simple battery and theft over $500. Girouard was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Deantra L. Williams, 23, 1103 Rue Jolie Blonde, Mamou, was charged January 8, with possession of stolen goods. Williams was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Brian Chad Leday, 37, 1056 Rachel Drive, Ville Platte, was charged January 8, with criminal mischief. Leday was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
•Chaman Marie Richardson, 49, 1103 Rue Jolie Blonde, Mamou, was charged January 8, with possession of stolen goods. Richardson remained in jail on a $2,000 bond at press time.
•Jacob Brian Johnson, 29, 1020 Jefferson St., Ville Platte, was charged January 8, with simple battery and theft over $500. Johnson remained in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Claude A. Burkhalter, 53, 1006 Hackberry St., Mamou, was charged January 11, with aggravated battery on officers, obstruction of public passage, DWI (second offense) and open container. Burkhalter remained in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Kenneth Wayne Fontenot, 44, 1316 Sixth St., Mamou, was charged January 9, with criminal mischief and simple criminal damage to property. No bonding informaion was available.
•Roger Dale Deville Jr., 29, 1988 Alec St., Mamou, was charged January 10, with disturbing the peace by fighting. Deville remained in jail on a $1,500 bond at press time.
•Brandon Mack King, 31, 1602 Lake Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 10, with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile (two couns). King was being held in jail on a $75,000 bond at press time.
•Dennis Dwayne Larue, 31, 402 Amyers St., Eunice, was charged January 11, with DWI (second offense), careless operation and driving under suspension. Larue was released from jail on a $2,276.50 bond.
•James Thomas, 36, 611 E. Desoto St., Ville Platte, was charged January 10, with DWI (first offense) and improper lane usage. Thomas was released from jail on a $1,176.50 bond.
•Alcide Plumber III, 42, 518 W. Eighth St., Crowley, was charged January 12, with domestic abuse. Plumber remained in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
