sheriff's office reports 17 recent arrests
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 17 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
• Robert Earl Hosea, 34, 1112 Church St., Oakdale, was charged February 4, with child endangerment law, suspended driver’s license, expired license plate and careless operation. Hosea was released from jail on a $11,000 bond.
•Marty Paul Blood, 47, 1545 Blacklake Road, St. Landry, was charged February 3, with possession of Schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blood was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Leland Charlie Guidry, 45, 1595 Blacklake Road, St. Landry, was charged February 3, with possession of Schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Guidry remained in jail on a $16,000 bond at press time.
•David Champagne, 57, 909 Cherry St., Apt 39, Mamou, was charged February 3, with simple battery and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Champagne was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Amanda Rae Haggett, 22, 1813 Boozoo St., Mamou, was charged February 4, with theft of moveable (two counts), theft and misrepresentation during booking. Haggett was being held in jail on a $67,500 bond at press time.
•Emile Scott, 64, 906 Cherry St., Mamou, was charged February 4, with possession of drug paraphernalia. Scott was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Brent H. Roberts, 24, 106 Ash St., Ville Platte, was charged February 5, with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute (crack cocaine). Roberts was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Carol Ann Babineaux, 68, 2515 Railroad St., Basile, was charged February 5, with exploitation of the elderly. Babineaux was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Javis Jacoby Gallow, 23, 1209 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged February 5, with simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property. Gallow was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Donald Wayne Fuselier Jr., 44, 417 South St., Apt 14, Mamou, was charged February 6, with domestic abuse battery. Fuselier was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Chadley James Arvie, 38, 408 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple battery, simple criminal damage to property, battery on a police officer (two counts), resisting an officer (two counts) and simple escape. Arvie was being held in jail on a $30,000 bond at press time.
•George Gradney Jr., 37, 1337 Oberlin Road, Mamou, was charged February 7, with DWI (first offense), careless operation and open container. Gradney was released from jail on a $1,434.50 bond.
•James Travis Lee O’Conner, 26, 3429 St. Landry Highway, St. Landry, was charged February 7, with DWI (first offense), speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone), expired MVI, open container, public intoxication and reckless operation. O’Conner was released from jail on a $11,601.50 bond.
•Ashley L. Charlot, 31, 1211 Grace Lane, Mamou, was charged February 8, with domestic abuse battery. Charlot was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Stacy J. Charlot, 32, 1211 Grace Lane, Mamou, was charged February 8, with domestic abuse battery. Charlot was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Clayton Keith Benoit, 48, 319 Cove Road, Elton, was charged February 10, with possession of crystal meth and violation of controlled dangerous substance in a school zone. Benoit was being held in jail on a $35,000 bond at press time.
