Sheriff's office reports 21 recent arrests
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 21 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Lucas Chase Granger, 20, 2333 Highway 95, Mamou, was charged July 11, with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving on the left side of the road, view of windshield obstructed, expired MVI and modification of exhaust. Granger was released from jail on a $1,276.50 bond.
•Victor Fontenot, 60, 462 Rolling Road, Ville Platte, was charged July 11, with theft. Fontenot was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Matthew Powell Marcantel, 31, 2498 Belaire Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged July 11, with malfeasance in office, contraband delivery, taking to and from a penal institution, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver Schedule II and IV. Marcantel was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
•Michell Lynn Haviland, 33, 1433 Veterans Memorial Highway, Ville Platte, was charged July 11, with issuing worthless checks (three counts). Haviland was released from jail on a $300 bond.
•Nelson James Tezano, 54, 922 Railroad Drive, Ville Platte, was charged July 11, with disturbing the peace and simple intoxication. Tezano was being held in jail on a $6,500 bond at press time.
•Logan Seth Morrison, 19, 198 Oak Knoll Drive, Ville Platte, was charged July 12, with maximum speed limit and driving under suspension from a DWI. Morrison was released from jail on a $651.50 bond.
•Beau Christopher Miller, 27, 1881 Greta Lane, Ville Platte, was charged July 12, with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), use of multiple beam equipment and driving under suspension/revocation. Miller was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Taylor Lane Fontenot, 18, 1049 Newton Lane, Ville Platte, was charged July 12, with domestic abuse battery. Fontenot was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•James Todd Wall, 29, 1317 Walnut St., Pine Prairie, was charged July 13, with domestic abuse battery. Wall was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Hilton Watson, 33, 128 E. Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged July 14, with criminal neglect of family. Watson was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Carrie Leatrice Fruge, 23, 723 S. Dupre St., Ville Platte, was charged July 14, with disturbing the peace and second degree battery. Fruge was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Deandre Marquel Dangerfield, 22, 1114 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged July 14, with disturbing the peace and second degree battery. Dangerfield was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Mikesha Fruge, 22, 1114 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged July 14, with disturbing the peace and second degree battery. Fruge was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Constance Lynette Spriggins, 21, 249 Lithcote Rd., Ville Platte, was charged July 14, with disturbing the peace and second degree battery. Spriggins was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Cory Keadrell Green, 21, Ridgeway, South Carolina, was charged July 15, with oral sexual battery, forcible rape and carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Green was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Gregory Scott Gautreaux, 46, 211 Second St., Pine Prairie, was charged July 15, with criminal neglect of family. No bonding information was available.
•Donovan O’Neal Doucet, 26, 1206 Fruge St., Ville Platte, was charged July 16, with second degree battery. Doucet was being held in jail on a $12,500 bond at press time.
•Wilton James Miller, 1924 Jimbo St., Reddell, was charged July 16, with aggravated criminal damage to property. Miller was being held in jail on a $5.000 bond at press time.
•Ryan James Fontenot, 17, 1009 Pecan St., Mamou, was charged July 16, with aggravated assault. Fontenot was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Rachael Lashonda Bellard, 33, 1069 Bryce St., Lot 12, Ville Platte, was charged July 17, with simple battery. Bellard was released from jail on a $1,000 bond.
•Tonya Danielle Bellard, 29, 2021 Bryce St., lot 16, Ville Platte, was charged July 17, with simple battery. Bellard was released from jail on a $1,000 bond.
