Sheriff's office reports eight recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported eight recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Kelly Jude Courville, 33, 1459 Wesley Road, Mamou, was charged October 11, with DWI and careless operation. Courville was released from jail on a $2,226.50 bond.
•Shelly Ann Sias, 39, 3636 Stagg Ave., Basile, wass charged October 11, with domestic abuse battery and resisting an officer (two counts). Sias was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Johnny Leday, 50, 723 Young St., Ville Platte, was charged October 10, with failure to register as a sex offender. Leday was being held in jail on a $30,000 bond at press time.
•James Thomas More, 43, 1024 Maple Thomas Road, Ville Platte, was charged October 12, with DWI (second offense), battery on an officer (two counts) and reckless operation. More was being held in jail on a $2,226.50 bond at press time.
•Micki E. Lavergne, 38, 113 Seventh St., Mamou, was charged October 11, with forgery (two counts) and theft (two counts). Lavergne was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•David Roy Bouley, 32, 133 Daisy Lane, Ville Platte, was charged October 10, with simple battery (two counts) and disturbing the peace. Bouley was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Lori Ann Bouley, 41, 133 Dealy Lane, Ville Platte, was charged October 10, with aggravated battery (two counts). Bouley was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Stoney Joseph LaPoint, 51, 310 S. Millan St., Church Point, was charged October 14, with sexual battery and aggravated incest. LaPoint was being held in jail on a $75,000 bond at press time.
