Sheriff's office reports five recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported five recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Kerry Paul Lemoine, 31, 3641 Highway 1, Marksville, was charged August 1, with simple criminal damage to property. Lemoine was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•James Brandon Erwin, 43, 1069 Jessica Loop, Ville Platte, was charged August 1, with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. Erwin was being held in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
•Chadwick Sidney Johnson, 51, 905 East St., Mamou, was charged August 3, with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and reckless operation. Johnson was released from jail on a $1,510.50 bond.
•Matthew James Wilson, 26, 514 N. Fontenot St., Ville Platte, was charged August 3, with improper lane usage and operating a vehicle while intoxicated (second offense). Wilson was released from jail on a $1,876.50 bond.
•Johnathan Taylor Deshotel, 24, 1819 Walnut St., Ville Platte, was charged August 3, with careless operation, resisting an officer, simple criminal damage to property, prohibited acts Schedule I drugs, disturbing the peace, threatening a police official and possession of a legend drug without a prescription. Deshotel was being held in jail without bond.
