Sheriff's office reports nine recent arrests
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported nine recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Almeshia Brasheall Fontenot, 22, 1186 N. Chatagnier Road, Apt. 22, Ville Platte, was charged July 19, with use of multiple beam road lighting, driver must be licensed, switched license plate, no proof of insurance and resisting an officer with misinformation. Fontenot was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Lorenzo Collins, 25, 453 Stelly St., Opelousas, was charged July 21, with driving under revocation/suspension and disturbing the peace/drunkeness. Collins was being held in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
•Alex Brandon Triplett, 22, 1509 Kinley St., Mamou, was charged July 21, with simple criminal damage to property, domestic abuse battery and unauthorized entry to an inhabited dwelling. Triplett was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
•Roger Dale Deville, 63, 1178 Turkey Hollow, Turkey Creek, was charged July 22, with fraudulent acquisition of a credit card. Deville was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Eric Vantribious Anderson, 32, 715 Court St., Ville Platte, was charged July 22, with theft. Anderson was being held in jail on a $18,000 bond at press time.
•Anthony Kirk Rowles, 46, 58 Cain Road, Lecompte, was charged July 22, with illegal possession of stolen things. Rowles was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
•Devon Brock Dupre, 19, 1111 Stagg, Ville Platte, was charged July 22, with simple burglary of an occupied dwelling. Dupre was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Anthony Earl Thomas, 28, 100 S. Rachel Drive, Ville Platte, was charged July 22, with arson. Thomas was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Ronny Thomas, 57, 1305 Fifth St., Mamou, was charged July 22, with remaining after being forbidden and aggravated assault. Thomas was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
