Sheriff's office reports nine recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported nine recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Zackary Alexander Ellison, 30, 2821 Elm St., Mazmou, was charged July 23, with issuing worthless checks (eight counts totaling $4,150. Ellison was being held in jail on a $4,150 bond at press time.
•Brandon Allen Miller, 30, 3133 Second St., Basile, was charged July 23, with theft and burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Miller was being held in jail on a $20,000 bond at press time.
•Joseph Ferrell Deville, 31, 802 Reed St., Ville Platte, was charged July 24, with armed robbery. Deville was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Anthony Tony Gotreaux, 42, 817 Pine St., Mamou, was charged July 25, with domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property. Gotreaux was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Micheal Hayden Fontenot, 19, 1175 Cedar Ridge Road, St. Landry, was charged July 26, with DWI, improper lane usage, tail lamps and driving under suspension from a DWI. Fontenot was released from jail on a $7,500 bond.
•Wilbert James Durand Jr., 30, 1490 Peachtree Lane, Ville Platte, was charged July 27, with DWI jumping bail and careless operation. Durand was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
•Dean A. Kraemer Jr., 42, 6319 Highway 167 N., Ville Platte, was charged July 28, with domestic abuse battery. Kraemer was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Troy Newton Chaumont, 50, 3312 East Stagg, Basile, was charged July 28, with possession with intent to manufacture, distribute Schedule II. Chaumont was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Anthony Dean Collins, 19, 87 Fourth St., Mamou, was charged July 28, with misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Collins was being held in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
