Sheriff's office reports seven recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported seven recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Ricky Lance Thomas, 39, 1117 S. Berwick Ave., Basile, was charged January 20, with theft (three counts). Thomas was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Donald Wayne Fuselier Jr., 44, 417 South St., Apt. 4, Mamou, was charged January 22, with domestic abuse battery. Fuselier was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Matthew Roy Deshotel, 27, 3356 L’anse Meg Road, Mamou, was charged January 25, with domestic abuse battery. Deshotel was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Sadie Elizabeth Ortego, 20, 1201 Tom Drive, Apt. B-12, Ville Platte, was charged January 23, with DWI (first offense), failure to dim lights and two headlights required. Ortego was released from jail on a $1,226.50 bond.
•Brett Wayne Guillory, 42, 1487 Rollins Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 20, with domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse aggravated battery. Guillory was released from jail on a $50,000 bond.
•Bretreis O. Edwards, 30, 712 Railroad St., Mamou, was charged January 26, with aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Edwards was being held in jail on a $45,000 bond at press time.
•Shelton T. Robinson, 29, 101 Railroad St., Mamou, was charged January 26, with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Robinson was being held in jail on a $45,000 bond at press time.
