Sheriff's office reports six recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported seven recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Michael James Langlow, 47, 544 Belaire Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged May 24, with aggravated assault. Langlow was released from jail on a $3,000 bond.
•Tevin Shawn King, 23, 1095 Lake Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged May 23, with receiving stolen goods. King was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Neil Freeman, 48, 1026 C.J. Ave., Ville Platte, was charged May 28, with disturbing the peace by intoxication. Freeman was released from jail on a $750 bond.
•Born C.B. Jones. 35, 1421 N. Berwick St., Basile, was charged May 27, with aggravated rape (two counts). Jones was being held in jail on a $90,000 bond at press time.
•Seth Samuel Cortinas, 18, 1881 Veterans Memorial Drive, Eunice, was charged May 30, with carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Cortinas was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Billy Ray Fontenot, 32, 3748 Opelousas Road, Ville Platte, was charged May 31, with domestic abuse battery. Fontenot was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
