Sheriff's office reports six recent arrests
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported six recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Hilton Wilson, 34, 128 E. Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged October 22, with home invasion (three counts), resisting an officer, second degree battery, simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. Wilson was being held in jail on a $20,000 bond at press time.
•Shelton T. Robinson, 28, 101 Railroad St., Mamou, was charged October 22, with domestic abuse battery. Robinson was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Leward Lynn Cain, 55, 272 Pete Sery Circle, Hackberry, was charged October 22, with public intoxication, theft and simple burglary. Cain was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Richard Greg Sylvester, 34, 219 Evangeline St., Ville Platte, was charged October 23, with aggravated rape on a juvenile. Sylvester was being held in jail on a $150,000 bond at press time.
•Christina G. Hartzfelds, 33, 2091 Rainbow Drive, Ville Platte, was charged October 23, with theft, criminal damage to property and issuing worthless checks (34 counts). Hartzfelds was being held in jail on a $41,500 bond at press time.
•Shamie D. Rider, 22, 226 Jean Pierre Road, Ville Platte, was charged October 20, with disturbing the peace by intoxication, resisting an officer and battery on an officer (two counts). Rider was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
