VPPD reports 11 recent arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department reported 11 arrests recently.
Arrested were the following:
•Jakaelee Chapman, 17, 1213 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged December 25, with disturbing the peace. Chapman was released on a $200 bond.
•Kenneth Antoine, 47, 818 Owen St., Ville Platte, was charged December 25, with DWI (second offense), hit and run and improper lane usage. Antoine remained incarcerated on a $3,200 bond.
•Jamaelee Chapman, 21, 711 Project St., Ville Platte, was charged December 31, with disturbing the peace and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Chapman was released on a $950 bond.
•Christopher Anderson, 26, 1711 State St., Ville Platte, was charged January 5, with public intoxication, battery on an officer, careless operation, resisting an officer (three counts) and driving with no driver’s license. Anderson remained incarcerated on a $5,600 bond.
•Hayward Pitre Jr., 50, 830 Martin Luther King Drive, Ville Platte, was charged January 1, with possession of drug paraphernalia. Pitre was released on a $2,500 bond.
•April Landreneau, 34, 235 Cross St., Mamou, was charged December 31, with theft of goods. Landreneau was released on a $500 bond.
•Katelyn Bias, 19, 2915 Cleveland St., Ville Platte, was charged December 31, with theft of goods. Bias was released on a $500 bond.
•Michael Griffith, 51, 1201 Tom Drive, Ville Platte, was charged January 3, with expired motor vehicle inspection, expired plate, no insurance and expired driver’s license. Griffith was released on a $1,150 bond.
•Christopher Batiste, 36, 409 Laran St., Ville Platte, was charged January 4, with theft of goods and resisting an officer. No bond information was available.
•Keiara Calvin, 19, 707 Young St., Ville Platte, was charged January 3, with criminal damage to property. Calvin was released on a $900 bond.
•Tevin Thomas, 22, 707 Young St., Ville Platte, was charged January 3, with possession of Schedule I narcotics, battery on an officer, resisting an officer and criminal mischief. Thomas was released on a $5,950 bond.
