VPPD reports five recent arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department reported five arrests recently.
Arrested were the following:
•Willy Johnson, 48, 11135 Kitty Brooke, Ville Platte, was charged July 19, with no reflective gear, disturbing the peace by intoxication and obstructing a public passage. Johnson was released on a $1,200 bond.
•Daniel Carter, 27, 1777 Highway 115, St. Landry, was charged July 20, with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond information was available.
•Michael Collins, 19, 264 St. Andrew St., Opelousas, was charged July 20, with theft and disturbing the peace. Collins was released on a $1,400 bond.
•Sheila Fontenot, 42, 570 Belaire Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged July 17, with theft. Fontenot was released on a $500 bond.
•Darius Arvie, 20, 1075 Clifton Ave., Ville Platte, was charged July 17, with driving under suspension and disturbing the peace by loud music. Arvie was released on a $750 bond.
