Sheriff's office reports eight recent arrests
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported eight recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Monquart Manta Serie, 24, 901 Second St, Mamou, was charged September 4, with no taillight, resisting an officer, switched plates and suspended driver’s license. Serie was being held in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
•Luylla Kaye Crosby, 59, 1693 Red Lick Road, Ville Platte, was charged September 5, with DWI (first offence), open container and improper lane change. Crosby was released from jail on a $1,201.50 bond.
•Coby Shane Deville, 19,. 1005 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged September 4, with open container and possession of alcohol by a person under 21. Deville was released from jail on a $201.50 bond.
•Octavie A. Fontenot, 50, 102 Ash St., Ville Platte, was charged September 5, with issuing worthless checks. Fontenot was released from jail on a $525 bond.
•Errol Troy Landry, 46, 625 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged September 8, with domestic abuse battery. Landry was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Anthony Guillory, 57, 1646 Tiger Lane, Ville Platte, was charged September 6, with DWI (first offense) and driving left of center. Guillory was released from jail on a $1,186.50 bond.
•Silas Sinclair Thomas, 23, 1806 Lou Ann St., Mamou, was charged September 6, with DWI (second offence), driving under suspension and improper lane change. Thomas remained in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
•Joseph Ollie Deville Jr., 76, 724 West Cotton St., Ville Platte, was charged September 8, with remaining after being forbidden and resisting arrest of an officer. Deville was released from jail on a $7,500 bond.
