Sheriff's office reports 10 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 10 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Tommy Lynn Mayer, 65, 3698 Highway 167 North, Ville Platte, was charged December 26, with domestic abuse battery. Mayer was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Winford Bob, 28, 7627 Grand Prairie Road, Washington, was charged December 27, with DWI (third offense), driving under suspension and no child restraints (two counts). No bonding information was available.
•Corey Darnell Jones, 1005 South St., Mamou, was charged December 26, with domestic abuse battery. No bonding information was available.
•Joseph Paul Gauthier, 21, 113 E. LaSalle St., Ville Platte, was charged December 26, with failure to maintain lane, possession of stolen license plate and no insurance. Gauthier was released from jail on a $592 bond.
•Ronald Dean Jackson, 56, 7319 Foxbend Road, Humble, Texas, was charged December 26, with careless operationh, DWI (first offense) and reckless operation. Jackson was released from jail on a $1,526.50 bond.
•Lawrence Lee Stagg, 700 East St., Mamou, was charged December 28, with domestic abuse battery. Stagg was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Closton John Melvin, 28, 611 Reed St., Ville Platte, was charged December 28, with attempted first degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of cocaine. Melvin was being held in jail on a $150,000 bond at press time.
•Christen Amber Fontenot, 17, 1314 Magic Road, Pine Prairie, was charged December 29, with introduction of contraband into a penal institution. Fontenot was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Tina Ann Fontenot, 46, 238 Milburn St., Eunice, was charged December 29, with DWI (second offense) careless operation, disturbing the peace and reckless operation. Fontenot was being held in jail on a $2,626.50 bond at press time.
•Jarvice K. Ardoin, 34, 123 E. Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged December 29, with unauthorized use of a movable vehicle. Ardoin was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
