Sheriff's office reports 16 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 16 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Joseph Freddy Lafleur Jr., 1817 Megan Lane, Ville Platte, was charged March 25, with unauthorized use of moveable, simple assault/domestic abuse battery and false imprisonment. Lafleur was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Brady James Doucet, 33, 613 Vidrine St., Ville Platte, was charged March 25, with possession of Schedule IV drug. Doucet was released from jail on a $35,000 bond.
•James West, 24, 506 Rozas St., Ville Platte, was charged March 25, with possession of crack cocaine and obstruction of a roadway. West was being held in jail on a $35,000 bond at press time.
•Brett Wayne Guillory, 43, 1487 Rollins Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 25, with domestic abuse and introduction of contraband into the parish jail. Guillory was being held in jail on a $75,000 bond at press time.
•Stephen Craig Lafleur, 56, 140 Western Lane, Lafayette, was charged March 24, with aggravated battery and aggravated assault (two counts). Lafleur was being held in jil on a $$375,000 bond at press time.
•Noel Fontenot, 213 W. Cotton St., Ville Platte, was charged March 26, with introducing contraband into a penal facility. No bond information was available.
•Dalonzo Malik Stevens, 17, 2316 Dr. Bobby Deshotel Drive, Basile, was charged March 26, with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I narcotic, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I narcotic in a drug free zone, illegal possession of a handgun and illegal possession of a handgun in a handgun free zone. Stevens was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Christian R. Monks, 26, 3213 Lanse Bleu Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 27, with domestic abuse battery. Monks was released from jail on a $3,000 bond.
•Kenneth James Douget Jr., 550 W. Walnut Ave., Eunice, was charged March 26, with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. No bond information was available.
•Devin Joseph Redlich, 29, 743 Brian Perrodin Loop, Eunice, was charged March 26, with DWI (first offense), improper lane change and no child restraint. Redlich was released from jail on a $1,201.50 bond.
•Arvie Melvin, 65, 909 Cherry St., Apt. 8, Mamou, was charged March 29, with domestic abuse battery. Melvin was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Rosie Marie Owens, 53, 909 Cherry St., Apt. 8, Mamou, was charged March 29, with domestic abuse battery. Owens was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•David Allen Hopper, 43, 4287 Seventh St., Mamou, was charged March 29, with disturbing the peace by fighting, resisting an officer, battery on an officer and public intoxication. No bonding information was available.
•David Wayne Williams, 33, 428 Seventh St., Mamou, was charged March 29, with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and battery on an officer. Williams was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Donavan Tyler Gremillion, 26, 1137 Cedar Ridge Road, St. Landry, was charged March 29, with domestic abuse battery. Gremillion was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
