Breaux Bridge – A baseball camp for younsters age 5 through 14 will be conducted at the Breaux Bridge High School field on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 27-28.

Mamou’s academic accomplishments recognized

Mamou held its annual Academic Awards with a breakfast May 1, for high school students. Awards for students holding an A average in different courses were given, as well as honors for those who remained on the school’s banner, honor and merit rolls throughout the year.

Seniors enjoy a day of activities

The Annual Senior Day, sponsored by the Evangeline Council on Aging (ECOA) and the Vietnam Veterans’ Association (VVA) was held at the Northside Civic Center Sunday, May 4. Members of the VVA and visitors to Senior Day, as well as other volunteers, took time to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Christian Heritage raises money with Relay for Life drive

Students at Christian Heritage Academy raised a total of $3,000 for Relay for Life during its recent drive. Sue Pomier’s fifth grade class raised the most money with a total of over $500.
