The Lady Trojans of Sacred Heart completed their season sweep of the Lady Bulldogs of Ville Platte High. They picked up an 11-0 victory and ended the game in five innings, via the 10-run mercy rule.

Before Wednesday night’s battle with Sacred Heart for second place in District 6-2A, the Mamou Lady Demons had to get by the Port Barre Lady Red Devils. It took eight innings, but Mamou took a 6-3 victory over the host team.

CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Joseph Badon, Jr., 73, who died Wednesday morning at the Crowley American Legion Hospital. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held for Carol L. Spaetgens, 71, who passed away Tuesday, April 8, at her home.

Services will be held Thursday, April 10, at 3 p.m., at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley.
