Lady Jays grab first district win

The St. Edmund Lady Jays scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and rallied to a 4-1 win over False River Academy on Wednesday.

Eunice rolls past St. Edmunds in tennis clash

For a few hours Wednesday friends became foes as the St. Edmund and Eunice High tennis teams competed at the Buddy Fay Memorial Court.

Bobcat Relay results

Breaux Bridge finished first for boys and Beau Chene finished first for girls in the 2008 Bobcat Relays, held Wednesday evening.

Eunice high finished fifth for boys, with 60.5 points, and third for girls, with 81.5 points. The team rankings are as follows:

MAMOU – The Lady Demons scored a 10-0 mercy rule win over Ville Platte Wednesday night, adding another District 6-2A win to their record.

McClelland named athletic director at McNeese

LAKE CHARLES - Eunice native and Basile High graduate Thomas McClelland II will be the athletics director for McNeese State University, Dr. Robert Hebert, McNeese president, announced on Wednesday.

Johnson and Sonnier win bass tournament

Troy Johnson and Jason Sonnier took first place with a total of 22.0 pounds in the fourth annual Eunice Bass Tournament, held March 8-9 at Indian Creek Recreational Park in Woodworth.

Team Moosa holds on to Men's League lead
