City seeks road, tennis court funds

The City Council is asking the Eunice legislative delegation to secure about $300,000 this spring for two special projects.

The resolutions seeking the appropriations were passed at the March meeting.

Mayor says auditor advised fee suspension

Mayor Bob Morris has suspended a monthly fee payment to Aucoin & Associates.

In a letter to City Attorney Jacque Pucheu, Morris said he did so on the advice of the Legislative Auditor’s Office.

Six new festival queens and three kings were crowned Saturday, March 8, during the 2008 Boggy Bayou Festival Pageants held at Pine Prairie High School auditorium.

Breaux Bridge twins go to work for Delta Airlines

Identical twins Jarrett and Jerald Batiste have been together since birth and see no reason to separate now.

For the pair, who have both just graduated from an FFA-approved aircraft maintenance school, the sky’s the limit.
