Jays rebound against Hanson

FRANKLIN – The St. Edmund Blue Jays rebounded from a three-game weekend losing streak, scoring a 7-4 win over the Hanson Memorial Tornadoes.

City thanks parish for help

The City of Eunice on Tuesday night thanked the St. Landry Parish Council government for assistance in curbing the city's jail expenses.

Police Chief Gary Fontenot told the City Council that the parish is footing the bill for a nurse who is conducting regular sick call in the jail.
