Ville Platte’s Brandon Thomas scored 12 of his game high 21 points, all three-pointers, in the final period, but it was not enough to get the win.
Ville Platte trailed 31-24 at the half and 53-40 at the end of three quarters of play.
With the loss, Ville Platte is now 8-3 on the year.
Meanwhile, the Lady Bulldogs met the newly formed J.S Clark Leadership Academy out of Opelousas. The game was scheduled as a favor to J.S Clark by Ville Platte head coach Dot Doulet.
Fortunately, the game was not even close for the Lady Bulldogs, as they played most of their junior varsity in a 33-3 romp.
With the win, Ville Platte is now 8-3 on the season.
The Sacred Heart Trojans and the Lady Trojans found their way to Pine Prairie to take on the Panthers and the Lady Panthers respectfully.

Pine Prairie led 41-31 at the half and 63-40 at the end of the third quarter. Darnell Durgin had 21 points to lead all scorers.
Pine Prairie is now 6-2 on the year, while Sacred Heart drops to 1-6 on the season.
The girl’s game saw the Lady Panthers turn a 23-20 deficit at the end of the third quarter into a 40-27 win over the Lady Trojans. Sacred Heart held a 13-9 led at the half.
