BUTTERCUPS - In the first photo, a close up of Buttercup showing the shiny, glossy flowers and the leaf and stem growth that can eventually shade out the pasture or hayfield forage. The second photo is an image of the “pretty yellow flowers” across the field.

We are fast approaching the time of year when many roadsides, pastures, hay fields, and even lawns, will begin to show those “pretty yellow flower” plants everywhere. However you won’t catch any cattleman, hay producer, or homeowner calling them pretty.

Rice Federation thanks Farm Bill supporters

The USA Rice Federation issued a press release today commending leaders in Congress for the successful and final vote on the 2014 Farm Bill. The U.S. House passed the final bill last week by a strong 251-166 vote, and it passed the U.S. Senate by a vote of 68-32.
