Mamou Cajun Christmas Parade set

The date has been set. On Saturday, December 14, the Mamou Rotary Club Cajun Christmas Parade will roll down Sixth Street in Mamou once again.
Lineup will be at 4:30 p.m. in front of Mamou High School and the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Santa will be in his sleigh pulled by his “Egrets.” A minimum of three Cajun bands will be playing in the parade procession.
The Mamou Rotary Club is inviting all Evangeline Parish banks, business organizations, churches, civic organizations, political candidates, public officials and schools to participate. Since the parade will be held at night, all floats and motorized vehicles must have lighting, such as Christmas lights and/or flood lights so that the riders can be seen.
There is no fee or cost to participate in the parade. For more information, please contact Elvin Reed at 337-224-8400 or Belle Deshotel at 337-305-0616, and from the Mamou Rotary Club, “Joyeaux Noel a’ toutes notres amis!”
