Ville Platte garners split decision with Bunkie Friday night

BUNKIE - The Ville Platte High Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs earned a split decision here Friday night, as the Bulldogs blasted the Panthers 76-49 and the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Lady Panthers 72-67.

Despite a 31 point effort from senior Miya McKinney, the Lady Bulldogs could not hold on to a 19 point half time lead, as they fell to the Lady Panthers.
Ville Platte jumped out to a 25-14 advantage after one quarter of play and a 47-28 lead at halftime.
However, the Lady Bulldogs were outscored 34-20 in the final half. With the loss Ville Platte is now 5-2 on the year.

vs. Bunkie
It was an all-around effort for the Bulldogs, as 13 players tallied points, including a game high 11 points from Brandon Thomas in their win over Bunkie.
Ville Platte never trailed and scored 38 points in each of the two halves of play, including 23 in the third quarter.
Ville Platte moves to 5-2 on the year with the victory.
