The Ville Platte Police Department reported that wanted 24-year-old Lawrence L. Fontenot, of Ville Platte, has been located and arrested for attempted second degree murder.
In a press release from Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue it stated that “on the date of September 11, 2017, officers with the VPPD responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of East Oak.”
According to the release, “upon arrival, officers observed a white male subject walking out of the residence with blood all over his clothing.”
It stated in the release that the “subject had a single gunshot wound underneath his left arm.” According to the release, the subject also “had cuts and marks on his arm, face and head.”
